"There you go again! There you go again!" Harry jumped excitedly as he played and replayed the newsreel in his room.
Downstairs the reception was going on.
William laned against the doorway, grateful to get away from the crowd.
"I'm telling you Wills. This is going down in Windsor Wedding history. Especially when people find out who the man behind the mask is..."
William stiffened. He never thought about that. "No one's going to find out."
Harry shrugged. It was both the same for him. "There you go again!" he cheered.
William looked at Harry. He reminded him of a derranged movie star agent or basketball coach. He left the room.

"Dylan, Vicki, are you sure you can deal with this arrangement?" Robin asked them. The sound of the door opening made her turn her head.
"Hello, Mrs. Windsor," William greeted her.
Oh, it was just her husband. She continued to pack. "I'll call you when I get there."
"Get where?" William asked after she had hung up the phone.
"My father's island," she replied.
"But I thught we were going to-- I thought we were going to-- going to--" he pointed to the bed.
"William," Robin patted his cheek. "We just had a wedding. You want the honeymoon already?" She teased.
William frowned, as far as he knew that was the tradition. "My family expects me to produce an heir."
"An heir to my company or your throne?" Robin raised an eyebrow. He wasn't the only one in this deal against his will he better not forget that. "C'mon, Wills. We're out of this deal in one year tops. Don't bring a kid into this."
William nodded. He didn't want anyone to go what he had gone through.
"Good-bye my husband," Robin told him. She kissed him on the cheek. "See you in a year." She grabbed her bags. She felt William's eyes on her as she left the room. She didn't turn around to be sure

In her company's jet, Robin was staring at the gold band on her finger.
A hand touched her shoulder.
Robin looked up.
"Just to let you know," the stewardess smiled at her."It's safe to take your seatbelt now." Even her eyes seemed to smile. "...Your Highness."
Your Highness, it felt odd being addressed as that. Robin looked at the ring on her finger again. This wasn't how she planned her wedding. Many times she had stayed up all night in her bedroom thinking about today, tonight... Never had she imagined it to be like this. Never had she imagined a contract would be involved. She could still remember Matt handing it to her...
She shook her head. No use crying about that now. She'd marry again and this time it would be for one thing and one thing only: LOVE. Her wedding wouldn't be a media spectacle. Her honeymoon would be filled with whispers and caresses. And her husband...
For some reason her future husband was wearing tights.

Chapter Eight
"Ow!" William screamed as he mistakenly touched the hot skillet without a potholder. He sucked on his finger. "Harry! Breakfast!" he called. He slipped the omelette onto a plate.
"Who made it?" came the question.
William sighed and looked at the paper. He was in his striped pajamas and a holey T-shirt. "I did. Now get down here!"
There was silence. "No thanks! I'll pass."
William rolled his eyes. He opened to the business section. "It's not that bad!" he defended. The toaster popped up. The toast came up black.
Harry came down already in his Eton uniform. He stared at the toast. "Yes, it is, Bro." He grabbed two granola bars from the cupboard above the stove. "Good luck in St. Andrews." He grabbed his book bag which was empty except for pencils and notepaper. He rolled his luggage filled with his semester clothes out into the garage where the car was waiting for him.
William watched him go. The house was quiet. His father was already started his schedule of duties at around five. William took a bite out of his cooking. "Yech!" He spit it out. "Harry was right... I am bad." He went back to the paper. He saw a picture of his wife, an inset, and wondered how she was doing. Wherever she was.

Robin closed her phone and brought the antenna down. She had arrived on the island yesterday ten minutes before schedule. In her father's home office which was now her own she sat behind the large oak desk. She crossed out the name of the person she had just called. That was the last of her list. If things went as planned her guests would be arriving tomorrow. They'd teach her, stay with her for three months, and then she would be ready.
Next to her elbow on a magazine cover Matt's glossy face smiled at her. Some nonsensical title about the man of tomorrow was under his chin. She placed the magazine into her drawer.
Robin gaze fell on the phone again. Yesterday, out of habit she had lifted the receiver to call her father and tell him she had arrived safe. She spent a good half hour crying softly.
Robin's hand went out, while her other hand caressed the phone buttons. She wondered if she should call her husband.

William parked into the garage of the school. It was a black convertible (give it the car-make you want).
"New wheels?" Riley, one of his chums from Eton asked as he pulled up.
William got out of the car and pocketed the keys. He took of the Ray-bans he was wearing. "Yeah. Don't know why. Not going to be driving it very much." He took out his luggage from the trunk. Where the hell are his servants? Guess he doesn't have it as great as most people think.
"A sword?" his mate asked.
Wills shrugged. Thank goodness Riley couldn't see the packed tights! "I'm thinking of taking up the hobby." He hit the button on his keychain and the car beeped shut. As he walked to his dorm room he noticed the stares of some of his schoolmates.
"Familiar scene?" Riley laughed. He took the other handle of the prince's luggage balancing the weight between them.
Wills brushed it off. "They'll get used to it. Eton did."
"Not quite!" Riley laughed some more.
They arrived at his dorm room. William took out his key and opened the door. The suitcase slid in. "Thanks."
"Anytime." Riley leaned against the doorframe and made certain the prince was settled in. "Hey, a few of us blokes are going into town. Wanna come?" He grinned invitingly. "Hot girls."
William held up his left hand and the gold band glistened on his fourth finger.
"Oh... Right."
William laughed. "I'll see you later." He closed the door after him. At least being married gave him an excuse not to participate in such things. He went over to the window and opened the drapes. Below the window on the sidewalk people stopped and stared. On second thought... He let the drapes drop back down.
The prince stretched his body. The ride had given him knots in his muscles. He threw himself on the bed and elbowed a spot for him against the pillows, trying the mattress out. Turning his head to the nightstand he found he already had mail. Sighing, he went through them. Two fan letters. He wondered how they managed to get through. Girls possibly knew one of his classmates. Royal envelope from the Palace telling him to leave a certain weekend free. A free tea and croissant coupon for the cafe downstairs. There was no letter from Robin.
William turned on his back on his bed and stared at the gold band. He rubbed his thumb against its metallic base. He thought of Eve and frowned. Who was she married to? What if it was one of his friends? There were some of them who were married. Was it Hennerman? Loud-mouthed, over controlling snob! Wills became angry at the thought. It didn't matter if it was Hennerman or not. What mattered was it wasn't to him! He rotated the ring a couple of times. Stopping, he took a letter opener and placed the blade beneath the ring...

Robin soaked in her bathtub. She might as well enjoy it now. Tomorrow she was going to start a rigoropus schedule. Vivian had just called her and gave her the full report on what was going on in the office. Other than Derek was on her nerves as usual things seemed to be on the up and up. She closed her eyes. She saw flashes. Flashed of her love's face. Those blue eyes with a flicker of green behind that black velvet mask. That grin of white teeth. The lips curving up. Him taking her into a crushing embrace while his voice whispered: I love you. England's Hero...
Robin opened her eyes. Her hand reached for the phone set on the edge of the tub. She decided to call William. Did the Royal papers say that he switched from his choice of Canbridge to St. Andrews in Scotland?

William smiled politely at the chat around him in the entertainment room held in the lobby of his dorm house. It was a corny joke about two guys entering a bar. One guy said to the other guy...
"Your Highness."
All eyes turned to the front desk.
"Phone."
"Excuse me." Wills got off the the edge of the coach's arm. His new shoes squeaked against the hall floor.
"It's your wife" was the whispered information.
Robin! Wills heart rejoiced at the realization. William placed the phone to his ear. "Hello?"
"Wills. It's me."
"Uh, hi." He cleared his throat. "Honey." He had a lobby audience watching him. Wills did his best to make the call private by squeezing into a corner.
Robin laughed. "Hi..." Was that shyness in her voice. "Just wanted to see how you were doing."
"Great," Wills tapped his fingers on the side-wall. "Papa got me a new car. Classes start in three days." What else could he tell her? "The people here are friendly." He looked over his shoulder at the bodies ten feet away but leaning over to strain for any bit of the conversation. Nosy too...
"That's good..." the answer trailed.
Was she going to hang up? "I saw the economic report in the London review today!" The words came out in a rush. "Good work."
There was a pause. "Thanks."
William propped hismelf against the wall with one of his knees bent like a flamingo. He lowered his voice. "When are you coming here?"
At the sound of the H Robin almost thought William was about to say Home. "I-I don't know yet. I still have some stuff I have to work out." Knowing the conversation was dead, Robin ended with. "Well, I have to get some sleep."
"Me too," William agreed. From the picture window the afternoon sun still shown brightly.
They said their good-byes and hung up.

In Eton, Harry munched on his granola bar under the sheets of his bed, crumbs spilling from his mouth. In his hand was the article of England's Hero. He sighed and placed it under his pillow. Around this time last year William would've checked in on him. Harry wiped his strawberry jelly-coated fingers on the edge of his blanket. There was a knock on the wall.
"You all right?" his bodyguard asked.
"Yes!" Harry called. He waited for steady breathing. He curled himself into a ball. Sleep came but not any time soon.
